- The majority of clients we see at our center are between 15-24 years old.
- By the time women end their child bearing years, 43% will have had at least 1 abortion.
- Youth and young adults still say that their parents can hold the biggest influence on education/sexual choices but the majority don't learn enough from their parents.

Volunteer Opportunities
There are more ways to contribute to Alpha than just financial contributions.
You can also make a difference in a woman's life by volunteering. If you are moved, like so many are to support our ministry, here are some of the opportunities Alpha has for you…
- Baby Bottle Campaign (collect money in a baby bottle like a piggy bank)
- Have a baby shower for maternity and baby items
- Company Matched Dollars (i.e. raising funds and requesting a match of funds from your company)
- Be an underwriter for our Annual Banquet
- Fill a table at the Annual Banquet
- Put up posters around the office for Alpha events
Alpha Alternative exists to give women an alternative to their circumstances and give mothers and their children the chance to experience the miracle of motherhood. Not only do we want to give them an alternative, we want to educate and encourage the women who come through our doors. We want to show women they are valued and such an important part of a child's life.
By partnering with Alpha Alternative, you will be making a profound impact on mothers at a crucial time in their lives. Help us give them the tools to raise healthy, strong children that will become contributing members in our community. Infant years are critical to the well-being of every child, and Alpha strives to provide help and encouragement for those mothers who would otherwise have hopeless and desperate situations.
Peer Counseling
This remains our most effective means of working with clients. Volunteer counselors work one-on-one with all the clients who come into our center. The counselor listens to each client with compassion and grace to help them work through difficult times in their lives.
All counselors must go through our three day training session and shadow other counselors before counseling clients on their own. If this is an area you are interested in, volunteering our next training will be September 9th, 10th, 11th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Prayer Partners
In our ministry we know and understand the Power of Prayer. We have volunteers coming into our center every day to pray over the clients, staff, board, and our community. Prayer Warriors give an hour each week to come to our center and pray for the ministry.
